Zenobia a world famous wreck, one of the 10 best wrecks in the world, lies in the crystal clear water of Cyprus just 1400 meters from the shores of Larnaca.

This 172 mt. long RO-RO Ferry was cruising to Cyprus carrying her load of 108 articulate lorries full of different goods ( from eggs to Alchool  )
According to the most credited version her ballast control computerized system failed, inclining the ship on her port side.
Technicians were called to repair the problem, and were sent back after fixing it.
Unfortunately the decision to send them back to land, revealed to be a little optimistic, and during the night the Zenobia lent on her port side even more, making it impossible to recover her cruising position .

It took three days to sink and that give time to the crew to leave the ship together with all the passengers.

The Zenobia lies now on a flatbed of sand and rocks 42 mt. deep.
With a berth of 26mt. her starboard side rises till 16 mt. allowing you to conduct a long multilevel dive with a bottom time of around 40 minutes.

With a visibility up to 50 mt. and a water temperature that varies from 16 to 28 °C Zenobia is an all year round exciting dive that will guarantee you the adrenaline rush of the great adventures.

Our Excursion starts at 7.00 am, when we meet at the diving centre to prepare the equipment for the dives.
Here you will be provided with your set of gear, a crate and the cylinder of your choice, 12, 15 or 18 litres steel tanks with multisystem valves.
Once the equipment has been loaded on the bus, you will board for a 1, 30 hr. trip to Larnaca.

Once in Larnaca, you will board the boat and after a few minutes will find yourself ready to jump in the water and follow the mooring lines down to the Zen starboard side.

As soon as you put your face underwater you will be breathless and the sheer size of the wreck will entice you.
Your first dive will take you down to the propellers, and between the loading ramps , through the lorries and back to the lower bridges, the railings, and the safety boats.

After an hour and half interval with tea and coffee, you will be ready for the second dive that will take you to explore the bow thrust, the Anchors, and winches area.
From there you will move on to the first penetration, the Cafeteria, where the coffee machine still awaits to be used.
Once out of the Cafeteria, your dive will take you to the Bridge ( air consumption and computer permitting ) .
You will then make your way back to the mooring line and from there to the diving boat.

Lunch will be served as soon as you will be finished to disassemble and store your equipment, and by the time you are finished the dive boat will be back to the harbour.

You will be back to Paphos at about 17.00 with the memories of one of your best dives ever.

Due to the beauty of the dive we encourage our divers to taka a still or video camera with them on the trip in order to share your memories with your friends and relatives.
For those that do not have a camera, we can provide you with a DVD of the Zen that will help you showing your experience to others.
