Wreck of Laboe
The Laboe was built in Rendburg shipyard in Germany 1940. Originally built as a cruise vessel, she was brought to Cyprus in 2006 to be used as a diving liveaboard. In 2014 she was sunk in the Moulia, Paphos area as part of the artificial reefs and marine parks project. Since the sinking the Laboe is regularly visited by marine biologist to monitor the species living in and around the wreck. In the summer of 2020, they found and documented 14 different species of coral.
Wreck of White Star
The White Star previously known as Ivana Ivanova was part of the Russian commercial fishing fleet in the Black Sea. She sank on February 18th 2007 during her transportation to Limassol when her temporary repairs slowly came undone. At the time of sinking you were able to enter the wreck to explore the engines and saloon area. However Since 2007 the sea storms have taken their toll on this beautiful wreck demolishing the bow section and scattering it along the sea bed. There is now no access to enter the wreck meaning we can no longer explore the inside of the wreck.
We will meet at our well-equipped diving centre in Paphos Harbour. Our friendly and helpful PADI professionals will help you with equipment and begin with an interesting and informative dive briefing. Unless you have your own diving gear, all equipment is supplied by us. We spend a few minutes checking your sizes and will fit you with the suitable gear. All of our diving equipment is well maintained and serviced regularly to ensure your safety and comfort.
Once everyone is ready we will take a short walk to the Paphos harbour where we will board Cydive II. The journey from the harbour to the sites of Laboe and White Star takes around 10 minutes by boat.
