This beautiful reef is part of Airport Bay from where it takes its name, along the 200m stretch there are a series of amazing swim through and chimneys, gullies and perfect hiding spots for all sorts of marine life.
As you swim through gullies, look out for Mediterranean fan worms (sabella spallanzanii) on the rocks, these fan worms grow to a total length of 9 to 40 cm. They have stiff sandy tubes formed by the worm which protrude from the sand, and a two-layered crown of feeding tentacles which can be retracted into the tube.
