Lofos meaning ‘hill’ in Greek, is a scenic dive site around a pinnacle rock reef, depth on this dive varies depending on whereabouts on the ‘hill’ you are, with interesting swim throughs and a small caves to explore as well as secret hiding sports for marine life.
This dive is known for the amount of Moray Eel, Mediterranean or Roman moray (Murena helena) has a long eel-like body without scales and can reach a length of 1.5 m. Its coloration differs from dark grey to dark brown, with yellow spots along slimy skin. It is a nocturnal predator and during the day it is found inside the burrow with its head hanging in open water to see what happens.
We meet at our comfortable and well equipped diving centre where our friendly and helpful PADI professionals will begin with an interesting and informative dive briefing. Unless you have your own diving gear, all equipment is supplied by us. We spend a few minutes checking your sizes and will fit you with the suitable gear. All of our diving equipment is well maintained and serviced regularly to ensure your safety and comfort.
Once everyone is ready we will take a short walk to the Paphos harbour where we will board one of our Cydive boats. The journey from the harbour to the site of Lofos takes around 15 minutes by boat.
Once you have completed your dive you will be served complimentary fresh fruit and refreshments on the boat before returning to our diving centre where our PADI professionals will de-brief you and help you to complete your log books.
We provide free transfers from/to your hotel from all hotels in the Paphos area.
