We Are a Green Fins Dive Centre!

As a dive centre, we have always been committed to preserving the marine environment. Our love for the ocean and its inhabitants led us to take an active role in protecting them, which is why we are proud to announce that we are now a certified Green Fins dive centre.
Green Fins is a global initiative founded in 2004 by the United Nations Environment Programme and The Reef-World Foundation. Its mission is to protect coral reefs and marine life by promoting sustainable diving practices. The program works with governments, NGOs, dive centres, and divers to reduce the negative impact of diving on the ocean.
By becoming a Green Fins dive centre, we have committed ourselves to following a set of guidelines that promote responsible and sustainable diving practices. These guidelines are designed to reduce the impact of diving on the environment and preserve the beauty and diversity of our oceans.
Some of the guidelines that we follow as a Green Fins dive centre include:
- Educating our staff and customers about sustainable diving practices and the importance of protecting the marine environment
- Properly disposing of waste and rubbish, including recycling whenever possible
- Not touching or damaging the coral or marine life
- Not anchoring on the coral reefs
- Using reef-safe sunscreen
- Encouraging customers to minimize their impact on the environment by reducing their use of plastic and being mindful of their actions underwater
By following these guidelines, we are not only protecting the environment, but we are also setting an example for our customers and the wider diving community. We believe that responsible and sustainable diving practices are essential to protect the ocean, and we hope that our actions inspire others to follow suit.
