Description

Technical Diving

In recreational diving a few basic premises have significantly contributed to diving safety:

Stay within NDL
Use of alternate air source
Use of buoyancy control devices
Avoid overhead environments
Restrict depths to the limits of 30 to 40 metres
However after many years of research, we have today information as to how safely:

Conduct Decompression diving
Dive in overhead environments
Use of different gasses to extend time and depth limits
This is Technical diving. For the individuals who are ready to accept the challenge (physical, mental and financial) to gain access to more than twice as much ocean floor as if one takes the limits of recreational diving to 40 meters.

Decompression Procedures

This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. The objectives of this cource is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding maximum depth of 150fsw/45msw. The most common equipment requirements, gear set-ups, decompression techniques and decompression mixtures (including oxygen and nitrox) are presented.
