Guided Snorkeling

There is no minimum age or requirements however you do need to be comfortable in the water and have adequate swimming ability. 

Guided snorkeling is available June – October.

Description

Guided Snorkeling

Immerse yourself in crystal-clear Mediterranean waters as you explore the remains of an ancient Roman wall beneath the surface.

Led by experienced guides, this snorkeling experience offers a unique opportunity to witness history and marine life converge in a stunning fusion. Marvel at the centuries-old wall and Roman Amphorae while observing colorful fish that have made this site their home. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or a nature lover, the guided snorkeling activity at the Roman Wall has something for everyone.

During this program you will receive a briefing from a PADI Professional that will include information about basic snorkeling techniques and Mediterranean marine life. The snorkelling techniques will include how to effectively clear a snorkel and how to duck down below the surface. You will also be given a briefing on the marine life you can expect to see and how to spot them. 

Each participant will receive a mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit for those that want them. 

Your guide will help you to adjust your mask and snorkel to fit you perfectly and take you on a tour of the marine park. 

There is no minimum age or requirements however you do need to be comfortable in the water and have adequate swimming ability. 

(We require a minimum of 4 participant for this activity to go ahead from the beach and 6 participant from the boat). If the minimum number is not reached then the activity will not go ahead, and we will do our best to reschedule the activity to another date where possible.

Information

Medical

Each participant is required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to starting any in-water activities. Unfortunately conditions such as epilepsy, pneumothorax, and lung conditions are not able to dive under any circumstances. For more information view the medical questionnaire or please contact us. 

Diving and altitude 

There must be a minimum of 24 hours between surfacing from a dive and ascending to altitude or flying. 

Refund and Cancellation policy

  • The Centre reserves the right to change dive sites without notice, due to weather, safety, or suitability on the day.

  •  Any missed dive once on board will not be refunded.

  • All divers must be medically fit to dive and if in doubt, have a yes on their medical form must obtain a GP approval. 

  • All divers must have dived within 12 months to book a boat/shore dive or day trip. If they have not dived within 12 months a refresher will be needed prior to booking. 

  • If a customer is late for the activity, then the activity will continue excluding them and no refund will be offered.

  • Course and activity fees cannot be refunded if the program is not completed due to the decision of the participant.
