PADI Divemaster

The PADI Divemaster course is an exciting and challenging program which will help you to become a leader who mentors and motivates others. Gain dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and become a role model to divers around the world. Share your passion for scuba diving by becoming a PADI Divemaster. As a divemaster you’ll supervise scuba diving activities and assist with scuba classes. Becoming a Divemaster is the first step in an amazing adventure!

The course is broken down into 3 different sections: Theory, Water skills and Open Water.

Theory:

This section can often be the most difficult section for students, this is due to the amount of new information. But don’t worry you will know more than you think just from your dive experience! Most of the theory is completed using the PADI eLearning product at home prior to the course start date. However our instructors are available to run classroom session for the more challenging parts. You will have the support of our instructors if you have any questions or you need explaining in a different way. (All of our instructor will have had parts which they found more challenging!)

There are 9 chapters covering Physic, Physiology, Dive Planning, Equipment Environment, Assisting Certified Divers and Students in Training.

Water Skills:

In this part of the course you will fine tune skills you have gained during your previous diving certifications.  Your instructors will help you to improve your skills until they are of demonstration quality and your happy to perform them in front of others. You will perform a skills circuit of 24 skills taken from the open water course which will for the foundation for all in water training. General Diving and Rescue Skills will also be perfected throughout the course during fun dives and workshops.

You will also test your in water abilities which includes timed swims, snorkels, floats and towing tired divers.

Open Water:

Within the Open Water section you will learn to assist instructors with a variety of courses. You will have the opportunity to work on your dive organisation and start planning your own dives with certified divers. There are a series of open water sessions and workshops covering all of the PADI courses. Each workshop is designed to ensure you have all the skills you need as a certified divemaster. All activities will be under the direct supervision of an instructor that will help you through briefings, debriefings and corrections to perfect your abilities.

Throughout your training you will be increasing your experience by adding dives to your log book and seeing a range of different diving abilities.
