Description

PADI Underwater Photography

Have you ever been on an amazing dive and taken loads of photos only to get back to the dive center and find that they’re out of focus or the lighting is bad? Take our PADI Underwater Photography specialty and perfect those photography skills!

The Photo Specialty course will teach you how to prepare your camera, choose the right settings and compose your picture so as to take fantastic memories of your dives. Learn about different settings and how different dive environment require different settings. Practice using your camera with and without external lighting and try using a red filter for those deeper dives.

During this specialty you will learn how to choose the right underwater camera for you. This will all depend on you as a diver, and the kind of pictures or videos you’re trying to capture. You will learn about the PADI SEA method for getting great shots quickly. The SEA method means reviewing the pictures as you take them when you still have chance to capture more. This helps to avoid that disappointment when you get back to the boat. You will also learn the principles for good underwater composition and practical techniques. The techniques that you learn will help you throughout your photography journey. They will also help you to avoid disturbing the bottom, prevent scaring marine life and protect the ecosystem.

This course includes the PADI Digital Underwater Photography eLearning and certification fees.
