2 Tank- Achilleas and Orphurus
July 1 @ 7:30 am - 1:30 pm
Achilleas and Orphurus
Achilleas
On the sandy sea bed lies the wreck of the Greek vessel which mysteriously exploded and sank in 1975.
There are 3 main sections of the wreck to visit, the most popular being the bronze propeller on the upturned stern section and the winch.
With so many hiding places on this dive site we often see Octopus and Moray Eel hidden in the winch and upturned bow section!
Orphurus
Orphurus is a great dive site for all level of divers, and is located just 15 minutes from Paphos Harbour. Similarly to The shoals this dives site is an adventure around the rest of the reef that keeps the Demetrious II stranded.
The reef at Orphurus is made up of layers of Limestone rock. This means the reef is still beautifully white rather than coloured in green algae. Over time the rocks have been smoothed down by waves creating wonderful patterns and curves.
Schedule
We meet at our comfortable and well equipped diving centre where our friendly and helpful PADI professionals will begin with an interesting and informative dive briefing. Unless you have your own diving gear, all equipment is supplied by us. We spend a few minutes checking your sizes and will fit you with the suitable gear. All of our diving equipment is well maintained and serviced regularly to ensure your safety and comfort.
Once everyone is ready we drive in one of the Cydive dive trucks to the first dive site. EDRO III is roughly 20-25 minutes from Cydive and then the second location is 10 minutes closer to the centre.
Once you have completed your dive you will be served complimentary fresh fruit and refreshments before returning to our diving centre where our PADI professionals will de-brief you and help you to complete your log books.
