Description
PADI Night Diver
The PADI Night Diver specialty is completely different and unique specialty! The thought of dipping below the surface at night seems mysterious, yet so alluring. Although you may have been scuba diving at a site many times before, at night you drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light. The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge.
Although many divers start of apprehensive about night dives, they often return with a completely different feeling. At night that water feels much calmer and often warmer than during the day. The abundance of nocturnal marine life makes for incredible diving.
During the last dive of this specialty you will spend time with the torches off. As your eyes adjust to the lighting you will see more that you ever thought!
During your course you will learn:
- How to communicate using hand signals and your torch.
- Using a compass and natural navigation to find your way around a dive site.
- Identifying nocturnal aquatic life and where is the best place to find them.
- How quickly your eyes can adjust to the darkness!
