Experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, the PADI Open Water course is where it starts.
This course is the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the underwater world. To get started with the PADI Open Water Diver eLearning course you must be at least 10 years old. You need adequate swimming skills and to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
With the PADI eLearning product you are able to complete the classroom portion at your own pace – anytime, anywhere.
The PADI Open Water Diver eLearning course includes three parts. Firstly Knowledge Development which you will have completed at home. Then Confined Water Dives, and finally Open Water Dives.
Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in our very own onsite diving pool. Once in Open Water you will practice some of the skills learnt in the pool with your buddy under the watchful eye of your instructor. then once you have completed you skills you will explore a variety of different dive sites.
As a PADI Open Water Diver, you’ll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 metres, and will be able to dive worldwide. It’s just the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures!

During your PADI Open Water course you will complete:
- Knowledge Development via the PADI eLearning product to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- 5 Pool Sessions to learn basic scuba skills
- 4 Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!
This course includes the PADI Open Water eLearning product, equipment hire and certification fees.
Courses start every Monday and Thursday and run for 2.5 consecutive days.
Information
Medical
Each participant is required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to starting any in-water activities. Unfortunately conditions such as epilepsy, pneumothorax, and lung conditions are not able to dive under any circumstances. For more information view the medical questionnaire or please contact us.
Diving and altitude
There must be a minimum of 24 hours between surfacing from a dive and ascending to altitude or flying.
Refund and Cancellation policy

The Centre reserves the right to change dive sites without notice, due to weather, safety, or suitability on the day.

Any missed dive once on board will not be refunded.

All divers must be medically fit to dive and if in doubt, have a yes on their medical form must obtain a GP approval.

All divers must have dived within 12 months to book a boat/shore dive or day trip. If they have not dived within 12 months a refresher will be needed prior to booking.

If a customer is late for the activity, then the activity will continue excluding them and no refund will be offered.
- Course and activity fees cannot be refunded if the program is not completed due to the decision of the participant.
